Surfin' Paws Event!!!

Oh yeah...its finally here...Surfin' Paws Event. Y'all should note that OoRah and Trixie did not compete because Scott suddenly became ill. For those who know the story "yeah right". I still had to go and wanted to go for many reasons, including helping Sammy...plus I keep my commitments. It was an emotional day for me as I was missing OoRah and Trixie...I knew they could have rocked it...such is life and we are hoping to surf in the September event. With that said, it was a great day and a great event...Sammy represented for OoRah and Trixie...and he did an outstanding job.

Rene put on an awesome event...all the proceeds went to the OC Animal Shelter. At night there was a Red Carpter After Surf Party...I failed to get pics of that as I was partying. ;)

Last Surf Practice...but...

Today was our last surf practice before the big event...but we think the humans had more fun (in the water) than us dogs. Looks like we've gone back in time...momma is stylish on the beach with her swim cap.

Once again the swell was a bit big for us to surf in, but we got wet any way. "Did we really have a choice?" OoRah says.
Sammy giving it a go. "But we think its best Sammy if you open your eyes!"
Sammy is determined just like his momma. "OK, I'll try one more time."
Trixie says "Yes the humans did have more fun. We just want to romp on the beach...leave the water sports to y'all. But its all good."

Congrats Ms. Kia

Congrats to Ms. Kia for placing 3rd in her division at the Coronado Surf competition last Saturday. U rocked it girl!!! And good thing we're not in your division...we'll be surfing with the big dogs!

California Sunday

What do Californians do on a Sunday morning...they hit the surf baby! Momma giving OoRah a good luck kiss before he heads out to practice surfing.

Did we mention that the swell was huge!!! Trixie getting carried out by daddy. Even though we planned our practice at low tide, we didn't realize that there was a major swell in town. "Whoa is me" Trixie says.

After we got done practicing, daddy decided to ride some waves to show us how it's done. "Go daddy!"
Despite the swell being huge, we had a great time. No matter what the conditions, it's always fun hanging out at the beach.

We Know, We Know!

We know we haven't published a post in a while...but we're here now and don't we look grand. ;)
Today is Memorial Day...and since momma didn't have to work, we got the weekend off practicing surfing. Not that we don't love to surf, but it was nice to romp, wrestle and just be the crazy dogs we are at the beach this morning.
Our best buddy Sammy joined in on the fun as well.

Three weeks ago, it was Mother's Day and our Grandpapa and Grandmama came to visit. Our momma took em out to a nice brunch. It's always good to see Grandpapa and Grandmama. We wish they would visit more.
Some very exciting news involves our Auntie Elke and the new member of her family, Kylia. Congrats and we look forward to seeing Kylia grow up to be a beautiful young ummm bitch.

More Surfing & More Fun

We hit the surf again...practice makes perfect ya know. And today we had the whole gang with us. Momma and Auntie Julie striking a pose before heading out to surf. "Oh yeah...hotness"

Sammy was the first to ride...though this wasn't much of a ride, it was a good attempt.

Even though we are suppose to be practicing our surfing skills, still have to make time for a lil American Indian wrestle, with wetsuits and all.

Time to introduce the new kid in the family, Hector. Uncle Rene' got him from the shelter and he is just adorable. Momma and Hector having some nice words. And Sammy giving his momma a kiss.

The first weekend in May was a great way to kick off the month. No complaints here as everyone is all smiles.
