Reckon since we have American Indian Dogs that we need a TeePee in the backyard. This was built by Scott on New Year's Eve.

OoRah & Trixie Meet Their Cousins Koda & Weeko and Hit the Beach
Last night we visited Koda and Weeko. Everyone had a blast playing and getting to know one another. With the exception of Koda and mom Gretchen playing tug-a-war-kiss, by 9pm all AIDogs were pooped and ready for long nap.
Then it was time to hit the beach...OoRah and Trixie's 1st beach outing. Digging in the sand...cant get much better than that!

We Made It Home
After 800 plus miles on the highway, we made it home safely yesterday. OoRah and Trixie appear to have taken to their new crib w/out drama. We are now learning how to walk (follow me) and of course working on the "house training"...all which are coming along w/o too much distress.
Today we endured the wind and hit the trail. So much fun!
We be a rockin!

In Our Hands
I dont know where to begin, but to sum it up..."yeah baby"! We finally got our pups.
We spent all day on Kim's compound, which was incredible. In addition to Kim and his wife Arlene raising American Indian Dogs, they also have horses, hybrid cats and pigeons. They own over 100 acres of land, which houses heaps of Wood Peckers, birds of prey and other wild birds, not to mention coyotes, deer and cougars.
After exploring the compound, we enjoyed a Peace pipe with Kim to seal the deal and become united in the American Indian Dog family. It was such a great day...a wonderful, blessed Christmas. Tomorrow we hit the road via the coast and head home.
Peace.
330Ci Diaries, Day 2
Sacramento was a cool lil rest stop. We "briefly" saw the our State's Capitol, said "oohh and aww" and jumped on I-5 and proceeded north. I dont know what city it was, but there were heaps of Canadian Geese and Snow Geese flying in formation, feeding off the land. It was beautiful.
We took a quick rest stop in Redding (also hit the Best Buy there and got a new digital camera). Per the recommendations of my friend Rene, we picked up the Olympus 720 (thanx Rene).
After Redding comes Mt. Shasta...now that is a breath taking drive. Snow was blanketed on the mtns, but no chains were required (whew). Hit some heavy rain in Medford, OR, but once we got on Grants Pass, the sun peaked out from the clouds.
So we are driving looking for the hotel that we originally planned to stay in and once we found it, I am not kidding, it looked like the Bate's Motel out of 'Psycho' movie. I said "Oh no a sista cant stay here." (Gretchen, you are brave girl to stay there. I give you props...that place looked scary.) We got out of the car to further inspect the place, rang the doorbell and luckily no one answered, so we jumped back in the car and got a room at the Holiday Inn Express.
Any who, God blessed us w/another great driving day and we made our destination and we pick up OoRah and Trixie tomorrow.
Peace.

330Ci Diaries, Day 1
The 330 Ci is packed w/kibbles and sweaters, and we our off to retrieved OoRah and Trixie!
Left the our crib an hour ahead of schedule (9am), but still managed to hit congestion in La La Land. Once we creeped through L.A., we were cruising along w/no worries until we hit the Grapevine...the wind was rough and temps drop to 38 degrees. But the 330 is rock solid and we made it through w/no worries. After the Grapevine, instead of continuing on I-5, some how we ended up on I-99, but didnt realize we were on I-99 until after an hour into it. So I ring my father (the walking map) and again it was no worries as I-99 runs into the I-5 at Sacramento. (Yes, we had a map and even navigation, but had to check w/pop's to make sure all was cool). I-99, traffic was smooth and free, weather was nice.
After being in the 330Ci for 460 miles and singing out loud and out of key 'Benny & the Jetts', we decided to take rest at Embassy Suites in Old Townee Sacramento. Once we got our gear together, showered, etc. we headed out on foot to explore Old Townee (awesome place). We were also in search of a digital camera as mine kanked in Tulare while I was attempting to take a pic of Scott. Luckily I have my trusted Minolta if I cant purchase a digital prior to getting the pups.
The last exciting event of our day happened while eating dinner at Rio Cafe (great food, coffee and the best Chocolate Souffle I ever had), one of Scott's tooth fillings popped out (I was laughing my ass off). Reckon it's time for Scott to go see the dentist.
Any who, we are popped and gonna hit the sack. Hopefully I will have pics on the next posting. We should arrive in OR tomorrow.
Peace.

Meet Koda & Weeko
Ya'll probably wondering how we got introduced to these AIDogs. It all started one morning while I was mtn biking the Ridge Line Trail and that is where I met Gretchen with her two AIDogs, Koda and Weeko. I dug their temporment and personality instantly, not to mention memorized by their blue eyes and wild big ears. I came home told Scott of my encounter and next thing I know we got two pups waiting for us to be picked up on Christmas Day.
Koda and Weeko will soon be playing with their cousins, OoRah and Trixie...good fun in store!
Here we go again...meet OoRah & Trixie
Well, here we go again! And its all good!
On November 9th, 2006, OoRah (top) & Trixie (bottom), brother and sister, were born and will be the new pack addition to our family. On December 22nd, 2006 we will begin our journey to Oregon to pick up our pups. Weather permitting and taking the scenic coastal drive, we hope to be returning home around December 28th.
The pictures we currently have of OoRah and Trixie thus far are with the owner, Kim LaFlamme, founder of American Indian Dogs (AIDogs).
Check back after the holidays for awesome updates and pics.
Shake n Bake Baby! Merry Christmas/Happy New Year.
