Wild Wednesday - Tandem Frisbee & Graduation from Trick Class

Despite the heatwave, this afternoon we went to the park to play some Frisbee. We do our Frisbee tandem style. Daddy tosses the Frisbee and we both go get it and bring it back.
We might need a bigger Frisbee...especially when we start jumping.
" I can retrieve the Frisbee on my own, even though I return it upside down."
After some good kibbles and a nap, it was graduation time at Trick Class. We had to demonstrate various tricks we learned before we graduated. Below are pics of some of the tricks we did.

In Honor of Perla

Today was suppose to be Perla's 8th birthday. As the day progressed, Perla's health took a toll for the worse. Tests and ultrasounds taken this morning showed that the cancer had taken over Perla's entire body and her heart was enlarged. Judy did the humane thing and put Perla to sleep. It is ironic, yet poetic that Perla was born this day and passed away this day. She will be forever missed. Below is a pic of Perla and our Tufe doing what they loved to do...playing chase with a tennis ball.
Before Perla's diagnosis this morning, Judy went to 3 Dog Bakery and got her a birthday cake. Instead of celebrating Perla's birthday, we celebrated her life and spirit and the joy she created in our lives.
Rio (Aussie Shepard), Trixie, OoRah and Riley (gray dog), play in the park we named "Perla Park". Perla lived across street from this park and that is how the park got it's name. We would always say, "Lets go to Perla Park."
Perla we love you and thank God for letting us share in your life while you were here on this earth.

Hurricane Dean Didn't Spoil Our Fun

The remnants of Hurricane Dean brought lightening, thunder and rain. But that didn't stop us from going to the beach this afternoon.

The beach was a lil cloudy at first, but then the sun broke through and it was a glorious Sunday.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is daddy's birthday! We planned the day for daddy, and first order of business was taking the truck to the car wash to get cleaned. OoRah watches the car wash employees to make sure they are doing what needs to be done to clean up the truck.
Then it was off to Chronic Tacos for lunch.
It's not a birthday without some ice cream...yummy to our tummy!
Have to work off that lunch and dessert, so it was off to the park to play some soccer.
At dinner time and we took daddy out for Sake' and Sushi.
And finally, it's cake time.
Happy birthday daddy!

Fun Sunday

Today Grandmama came to visit us and to check-in on momma. Grandmama doesn't visit too often, so when she does, we make sure we shower her with love and kisses.
In the afternoon we met up with our half-sister/cousin, Koda and Weeko.
Us AIDogs rule the trails.

It's Lure Time!

Today was a rocking Saturday. We went to La Mesa to hang with the Luratics. Even our half-sister/cousin, Koda and Weeko joined us for the fun.
Koda hunting down the lure.
Koda is one fast American Indian Dog.
Weeko had some problems luring...wasn't quite sure what to make of mama Gretchen ran with her.
Run Forest Run...opps I mean, Run Gretchen Run!
OoRah shows em how it's done.
I'm gonna get that lure!
Getting closer.
Trixie is no turtle...go girl!
Trixie is closing in on it.
Barney, a 7 year old German Pincher was fast as lightning. Barney was so fast that he wore a cooling jacket after he was done...kinda like James Brown when he used to perform. "Ha' I feel good!"
